Fiano is an Italian white grape variety grown primarily in the Campania region of southern Italy and on the island of Sicily. The flavour profile is similar to a combination of Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay characters, showing elements of fresh pear skins, almonds and a slight “bitter snap” on the finish. These characters make this wine perfect for enjoying with food.
Subtle winemaking allowed the variety and region to naturally express itself, without oak influence. The fruit was lightly pressed, and the free run juice and pressings left together, remaining cloudy for fermentation.
Perfect for a seafood pasta or baked fish.
