Graciano is a Spanish red grape that is grown primarily in Rioja, Spain. Rosemount Estate first made Graciano in the 2011 vintage, sourcing fruit from a young vineyard in McLaren Vale. The Mataro is now sourced from our McLaren Flat vineyard and the Grenache is from our Seaview vineyard. Both are grown on red loam soils producing rich, full flavours. The Graciano’s aromatic lift of fresh pepper and floral notes complements the earthy flavours of the Mataro, backed by the sweet fruit and supple tannins of the Grenache. This harmonious combination shows just a hint of oak maturation, allowing each variety to express their true character.
A wine that can support bold, rich flavours like braised veal or lamb shanks.
